Why Maine Real Estate Insights?

I wanted to take a moment and talk about why The Fletcher Group has started Maine Real Estate Insights as a blog.  First off, thank you for reading this and thank you for following us on our social media platforms and if you aren’t receiving our newsletter, please consider subscribing.

I wanted to start this blog to help its followers decipher the vast amounts of information available online mixed with some real world examples and life lessons learned over 27 years of real estate brokerage, investing and…mistakes made.  While there is some great information available online, there is also some VERY bad information out there.  I heard a national real estate “expert” once provide absolutely false information on his podcast about 1031 exchanges.  My advice to you starts with, please be careful to what you are listening to.

My path to starting my 28th year in this business hasn’t been without its ups and downs.  Sometime soon I’ll post about the turmoil that was the Great Recession and what it was like to live through that real estate debacle.

I used to talk about markets as being “great” or “challenging”.  I’ve now come to realize that every market, every year, is challenging and it is always evolving.  Even when it is a great market, it isn’t a great market for someone.  This is one of the reasons I wanted to start this blog.  I want to provide real world information on maneuvering through the real estate market in Maine as it continues to evolve and we continue to face more and more challenges.

While my team at The Fletcher Group is going to continue to put out great information via videos, clips and even launching our YouTube channel, some of us still like to read our information and this will also help provide a searchable, historic reference for anyone that wishes to research months or years down the road.

Maine is a small town and despite being located in Auburn and Portland, we have branch offices throughout Maine and we pride ourselves on knowing the Maine Real Estate Market.  The Fletcher Group provides Residential and Commercial Brokerage and Real Estate Management Services for our clients throughout Maine and are here to help.
